ICT Innovation for Manufacturing SMEs (I4MS) is an initiative promoted by the European Commission to expand the digital innovation of manufacturing SMEs in Europe. Within I4MS Change2Twin and DIGITBrain are the projects supporting manufacturing SMEs in the uptake of digital twins technology.
A digital twin is a digital replica of an artefact, process or service that is so accurate that it can be used as basis for taking decisions. During the webinar participants will be introduced with key concepts on the use of digital twins and get first-hand information about the opportunities and support offered by these two projects.
- DIGITbrain is an EU innovation program to give SMEs easy access to digital twins. Using a Digital Twin, companies can rationalise the manufacturing process, make predictions regarding expected machine failures and can predict maintenance needs.
- Change2Twin is a European project which supports manufacturing SMEs in their digitalization process by providing Digital Twin solutions. The concept of Digital Twin is one of the big game-changers in manufacturing and allows companies to significantly increase their global competitiveness.
